As much as I like smart phones

Closed devices still feel like an Orwellian fantasy-land. It's hard to imagine these absurd licensing distinctions between handhelds and laptops will exist in say, 5 years. Feels just like when I was doing radio and everyone was trying to deal with the whole internet thing. Maybe that means some folks won't ever get it.
